Conductor Tian Lifu delivered the opening address, and under the guidance of Professor Tian Yuan, all orchestra members completed their first formal rehearsal, successfully performing the first ensemble piece, "Auld Lang Syne." First Training Scene 17:00 · Opening Address Conductor's Speech: Starting from Zero, No Endpoint Conductor Tian Lifu delivered the opening address to all students and parents, thanking the Jinyu International community for supporting the charity orchestra. He elaborated on the founding philosophy of Idyllic Symphony—"making music affordable for more families"—and expressed expectations for the A-Level Orchestra children: to take every rehearsal seriously, respect every partner, and enjoy the joy of music itself. 17:20 · Sectional Training One Teacher, Two Sections, Individual Guidance Professor Tian Yuan taught both the violin and cello sections simultaneously—covering bow hold, finger placement, intonation, posture, bow grip, and left-right hand coordination. He guided each child individually, ensuring every basic movement was correct and stable. Violin and cello were taught alternately, with exercises rotating, keeping the class pace tight and efficient. 18:00 · First Ensemble Rehearsal First Ensemble Rehearsal of "Auld Lang Syne" The first ensemble piece chosen was "Auld Lang Syne"—with its beautiful melody, clear parts, and meaningful sentiment. From unfamiliarity to coordination, from unevenness to gradual unity, under Professor Tian Yuan's direction, the children completed the first full ensemble performance of this classic piece in less than an hour. 18:40 · Group Photo First Training Concluded Successfully The first training session ended with a group photo. The children left the classroom with excitement and a touch of fatigue, but more importantly, with anticipation for the next rehearsal. The first class was not an end, but the formal starting point of these children's musical journey. "Jinyu International A-Level Orchestra is the second community teaching point of Idyllic Symphony. From today, children in Huilongguan can learn violin and cello right at their doorstep—and it's free, with professional teachers. We start with one class and grow slowly—like a seed, as long as the roots go deep, it will eventually grow into a big tree." — Tian Lifu, Conductor of Idyllic Symphony Orchestra First Training Faculty Instructor Tian Yuan—Artistic Director of Idyllic Symphony Orchestra, former Director and Professor of the Music Department at Beihua University, cellist of the Starlight Symphony Orchestra. Proficient in cello, violin, and piano, he teaches two sections simultaneously and is fully responsible for orchestra teaching and rehearsal conducting. In addition to Professor Tian Yuan's permanent teaching, the Jinyu International A-Level Orchestra will also invite musicians from the National Treasure String Orchestra to visit regularly for guidance, giving children the opportunity to learn face-to-face with national-level performers.
